Algabar Home & Life is devoted to enhancing the quality of life through the simple pleasures of the senses. The beauty and tranquility of our 2,000 square foot shop in Los Angeles offers a boutique experience unlike any other. We created a European-style retail boutique, event space and design atelier with elegant Chinese lacquered furnishings juxtaposed against an industrial white décor, with 25 foot wood beamed ceilings, skylights and cement floors. From our modest exterior it is hard to know exactly what to expect, but from the moment you cross the threshold, your senses perk up and you know you are in a special place. Fragrant candles, a hip soundtrack, and beautiful flowers greet you, along with Remy, our chocolate miniature poodle. We welcome everyone with a warm cup of tea and we delight in sharing our passion for our products at impromptu tastings of our tea and gourmet food at our Tasting Bar.
We seek out products that are beautiful, useful and infused with the spirit of the craftsmen that created them. The delicately carved pattern of a wooden box, the smooth, cool surface of a clay tea pot and the seductive, sweet fragrance of a hot cup of tea reminds us that something simple can bring us great pleasure.
At Algabar, we also are committed to enhancing well-being. We draw inspiration from and source products that make us feel healthy and vibrant. Many of our offerings are made with organic or all natural materials and little or no chemicals and are a true reflection of the passion and skill of the designer, artisans and farmers that created them.
